But wait, there’s more. In addition to that, this week also gave us good scenes in My Sister’s Hot Friend – Kati Summers (somebody was trying to impress somebody in that scene, and it impressed the hell out of me), Naughty Bookworms – Madison Ivy (just, wow), Latin Adultery – AnnMarie Rios (she could put out a scene that was bad or boring if she tried), Seduced By a Cougar – Sara Jay, Naughty Country Girls – Kelly Divine (who would have though the first ‘typical’ IR scene in three months would have been on Country Girls?) and I Have a Wife – Tatum Pierce (even if you don’t like the pics, watch the scene. The pics don’t do her justice).

Semi-Recent Scene of the Week: Naughty Office – Isis Taylor. Great ass. Great boobs. Great complexion. Glasses. Great scene. And a random T-Mobile G1 sighting.

Old School Scene of the Week: Naughty Office – Kayla Paige. Her boob job isn’t the greatest, but evertything else is. Especially the shyness at the beginning.

Other recommendable scenes this week include Housewife 1 on 1 – Alexis Texas (I’d almost forgotten how good POV can be when you use an actress with experience), My First Sex Teacher – Monique Alexander (two down, three to go), My Friend’s Hot Mom – Michelle Lay (fan of the scene, but not so much of the camera work), Latin Adultery – Reena Sky, My Wife’s Hot Friend – Riyanna Skie (I don’t like her name, but she’s cute [and yes, looks like Rihanna a little bit]), Seduced By a Cougar – Margo Sullivan (if you don’t mind your MILFs a little bit older), 2 Chicks Same Time – Capri & Kerry (Capri seems to be getting better at being expressive, but is overshadowed by Kerry-Louise) and Naughty Country Girls – Tory Lane (Something about that curly hair just gets me excited).

As far as everything else goes:

Semi-Recent Scene of the Week: Naughty Bookworms – Brooke Adams. The highest rated bookworms scene to date, and for good reason. Good setup, she is deceptively hot, and the whole thing is just really good all around.

Old School Scene of the Week: My Sister’s Hot Friend – Michelle B. If you like big boobs and British accents, then this one’s for you.

And that wasn’t all the week had to offer.  Other good scenes included Naughty Country Girls – Tanya James, My Sister’s Hot Friend – Monique Alexander (good enough to make me look forward to the other four scenes she has coming), My Sister’s Hot Friend – Melissa Mathews, Seduced by a Cougar – Nina Hartley (she’s been around more than long enough to know how to make sure she gets off, and it shows), and Naughty Bookworms – Faye Runaway.

And in this week’s semi-recent and old school scenes, a tribute to Dane Cross (no homo):

Semi-Recent Scene of the Week: My Sister’s Hot Friend – Nicole Ray. Probably the best first scene I’d seen of any new young girl since Faye Reagan (probably not a coincidence).

Old School Scene of the Week: Diary of a Nanny – Pinky Lee. I’d always though she was cute, but I’d never really gotten into a Pinky Lee scene until this one. And I’m normally not even a fan of anal scenes.

Other good scenes included Naughty Country Girls – Abbey Brooks (the sex was quite good, but it loses points for lack of foreplay), 2 Chicks Same Time with Lindy Lane and Taylor Tilden (nice alliteration, and Lindy Lane – yay, Taylor Tilden – meh), Naughty Office with Kimberly Kane (another scene I asked for, and it didn’t dissapoint even though it was anal), and Seduced By a Coufar with Daphne Rosen (good performance from a woman I may not have checked out otherwise).

And for the semi-recent and old school scenes, two scenes that break the POV mold of  Housewife 1 on 1:

Semi-Recent scene of the week: Housewife 1 on 1 – Ava Rose. I kinda like the setup (sex to distract husband from high credit card bills). I really like big butts. And I really, really like how Ava talks dirty and gets him to do what she wants.

Old School Scene of the week: Housewife 1 on 1 – Mika Tan. Mika Tan is a very good female performer (who can act). Voodoo is  a good male performer (who can act). The setup is actually well concieved. And everything else works exactly the way it should. When I watch scenes like this, it makes me think it’s easy to make good porn.

Other standout scenes this week included Naughy Country Girls – Krissy Lynn, NCG – Alanah Rae (another consistently good performer), Naughty Office – Aiden Starr, I Have A Wife – Kita Zen (always nice to see a small woman taking it hard and liking it), Seduced By a Cougar – Rachel Love  (started of slow but got much better by the end), My Sister’s Hot Friend – London Keyes (tends to overdo it a bit, but in a way that I like) and Naughty Athletics – Brynn Tyler. See, I told you this was a pretty good week.

Also, I’m going to add two new features to this post – A ‘semi-recent scene of the week’ and an ‘old school scene of the week’. The semi-recent scene will be any scene done between one year ago from the first recap (July 5, 2008) to the start of these recaps. The old-school scene will be any scene older than July 5, 2008.

Semi-Recent Scene of the Week: Seduced by a Cougar – Shayla LaVeaux. By the end of this scene, she is basically red all over and visibly worn out. And she looks to enjoy every minute of it. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Old-School Scene of the Week: Diary of a Nanny – Annette Schwarz. The greatest blow-job in Naughty America history. Bar none. And the rest of the scene is pretty outstanding, too.

The first thing is to improve the tagging. The system behind it works wonderfully, but the system can only work as well as the data it has. There are some things that are tagged incorrectly (for example, Kimberly Kane is not petite), and some tags are just plain missing (this scene is quite obviously interracial). I’ve been around long enough that I saw what happened when you tried to let members tag without enough moderation (there were bunches of duplicate tags that meant the same thing, and conflicting tags on the same scene). This would be better now that you have basically defined your list of tags and it would have to be adhered to. But still, people en masse are idiots, and the best way to do this would be to get a small but trustworthy group of people (either staff or members) to go through the scenes and look at the tags. And this applies to actor tags, too. The women are pretty much all correct, but sometimes the male talent is non-existent. I can understand that sometimes you don’t know who the male talent is, but, again for example, you can’t tell me you don’t know who the male talent is in this scene.

The “Find Your Fantasy” tool works great, but there are two ways it could be better. One has already been implemented, for the most part, and one hasn’t. The first is the allowing of the selection of multiple items from the same subheading (who, where, category). This is something that hasn’t been implemented on the main site, but is on the bedrooms site. The implementation there works better than I would have thought, because you can now build the searches easily within the url, and search more than three things at once. The thing that hasn’t been implemented, that would make the “Find Your Fantasy” tool perfect, is the ability to seach for scenes that don’t contain something. Most people have a few things in porn that they don’t like (hairy bush, pov, tattoos, etc.). Giving people the ability to search for scenes that don’t contain something allows them to more easily find a fantasy that fits their specific needs. I think I can figure out how something like this would be done on the back end, but I have to think about how it would be done on the actual page, though.

There’s also another thing that was introduced with the bedroom pages that I like, but could be done better. The pages now introduce the ability to browse for male talent in addition to female when you browse by performer, and they include first and last name when going by letter (so Austin Kincaid and Lisa Ann can both be found under the letter A). The last thing isn’t so much necessary, but I can see it being helpful for when you can remember someone’s last name but not their first (Especially with last names that are everywhere like Ann and Lynn). The first is actually a welcome addition, as more than likely there are some female members that are actually more interested in the male performers in a scene. But mixing the male and female performers in the same listings isn’t necessarily the best way to go about this. There should probably be separate pages for male and female performers, if for no other reason that you don’t have to go through three pages of female performers to find Joey Brass under the J’s. I would also say something about the bedroom performer listings not being in alphabetical order (and not ordered by popularity, the only other ranking that would make sense), but I’m assuming that’s a bug at this point (especially since the actual order seems to be by actor_id) that will be fixed before this is rolled out en-masse.

And on a slightly related note, there’s really only one thing I’ve seen implemented on another website that I’d like to see on NA. On the Reality Kings website, when you go to the page for an actress, in addition to listing all of their scenes, they also have a little bit of info about the girl (check out this one for Sienna West, for example). I think it would be nice to have a little bit of info (especially the bio) on each of the actress pages. And you could even pull the info from the bio from the interviews that are done on GMNA.

All of my other suggestions are basically little or simple things that probably wouldn’t really affect most members of the site, so I’ll put them in a list here.

• Find a way to put the “Find Your Fantasy” tool on the mobile page
• Increase the resolution of your high-res picture sets (something 2 to 4 times larger would be good enough, in my opinion)
• Offer up some of the better high-res photos in resolutions that work as desktop backgrounds (1o24x768, 1600×1200, 1920×1080 (1080p), etc.)
• Main forum improvements: now that pornstars have finally gotten their own color, the biggest improvement would be increasing the size limit on images in signatures so people can put thin banners in their sigs.
• This last thing is something that probably bugs me and only me, but I have to say it: when you view the forums, it tracks what threads you’ve read in a normal manner. But when you leave, it marks everything that was updated before you left as read, even if you never read it. I’d like to be able to have the only threads marked as read being the ones that I actually read (or marked as read myself), and I’ve seen other vBulletin forums that do this so I think that it is possible.

My favorite scene this week was the Naughty Office scene with Dana DeArmond. I’m kind of biased in this opinion since I actually asked them to shoot this scene, but it also turned out almost better than I could have expected. My favorite thing about the whole scene was that he kept his rubber gloves on for half the scene, including when he was using his fingers during foreplay. That was something I hadn’t seen before. Some of the positions look a little uncomfortable, but she seemed to be enjoying herself pretty well throughout the whole thing. My only real wish was that she had kept the apron on and they did the popshot there.

Some other good scenes this week were the Naughty Country Girls scene with Angelina Ashe (from what I’ve seen, she brings it pretty much every time), the Latin Adultery scene with Angelina Stoli (I liked the setting, and girls seem to like Mikey Budters), and the I Have a Wife scene with Bobbi Starr (who generally does a great job of looking innocent and dirty at the same time).

Obviously, the first thing I would do is get rid of the enter/exit notification. If it can’t be done, work to find a chat software provider where it can, because they exist. This may take a while, but it is something that needs to be done, as it is really hard to have a real conversation when the messages are being pushed off the screen so quickly.

The seconding thing would be using the second window on GMNA for more than just displaying a picture. When nothing else is going on, use Flash to create a ticker that lists the upcoming live talent, upcoming scenes, news of the day/week, who is on screen, schedule for the rest of the day, etc. You could also use it to play movies in when you want to talk about a youtube clip or a scene (this would be in addition to, instead of replacing, the current picture-in-picture format). Or use it for video chats with people who can’t come into the studio, which ties into my next idea.

The biggest, most ambitious idea I have for GMNA is integrating Skype (or some other internet audio/video chat program) into Live. This would allow the addition of many different features that I think would be quite revolutionary. The reasoning for choosing Skype is that it would be free/cheap to use for both you and for users (free to download for anyone, free for net-to-net calls and video chats, and low rates for net-to-phone calls) and readily available for pretty much anyone who wants it. This system should also allow you to take multiple calls at the same time without the need of a switchboard, or at least use Skype’s IM feature to coordinate when people make calls, so congestion shouldn’t be much of a problem. The first thing I would do is use it to allow members (and possibly ‘celebrities’) to call into the show and chat instead of having to use the text chat window. Or you could even just use it to let members call in and have their statments/questions recorded, and then have them played back.  This would be especially great for the interview portion, as I think members would get a great kick out of actually being able to talk to the talent and ask them questions firsthand (or in their own voice) instead of typing it and getting it answered. You could also use this system to have Lauren be able to interview talent that can’t make it to the studio, either by voice chat or by video chat. And as familiarity with the system improves, you can even do more advanced things, like if you know someone is shooting content for you that day, have them bring a webcam and a laptop and do a live chat from the set. Doing things like this, I feel, would make the members really feel like their voice is literally being heard at Naughty America, and would foster a stronger bond between the site and its members.
